Hot Wings

Ingredients
  • 2.5 lb bag of frozen chicken wing sections
  • 1 12-oz bottle Frank's Red Hot Original sauce, divided
  • ½ cup butter, divided
  • 2 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. ground cayenne pepper, divided
  • 2 tsp. chili powder, divided
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. oregano
Instructions
  1. Thaw chicken wings sections.
  2. Melt ¼ cup butter in a medium saucepan.
  3. Add half a 12 oz bottle of hot sauce, Worcestershire, 1 tsp. cayenne, 1 tsp, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano and mix together.
  4. Bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
  5. Add thawed chicken wing sections to crock-pot.
  6. Pour sauce over wings and mix with a wooden spoon to coat.
  7. Cook on high for two hours then low for another two hours
  8. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  9. In the same saucepan melt the other ¼ cup of butter.
  10. Add the rest of the hot sauce and the other 1 tsp. cayenne and 1 tsp. chili powder.
  11. Bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer about 10 minutes.
  12. Once wings are done in the crock-pot, add to a greased baking sheet or pan.
  13. Pour sauce over wings, turning to coat.
  14. Cook for about 30 minutes or until crispy, turning once halfway through.
