Cuban Sandwich

Ingredients
  • 1 fresh loaf of Ciabatta bread, ends removed, cut in half vertically and horizontally
  • mustard
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 8 oz smoked ham
  • deli pickle rounds
  • butter
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to broil.
  2. Tear some of the bread out of the inside of your Ciabatta.
  3. On one side spread mustard and top with pickles.
  4. On the other side add your cheese then top with ham.
  5. Put one half on the oven.
  6. Heat a cast iron skillet and melt a little butter.
  7. Add your sandwich, one at a time. Press down hard on the top to press with a pot lid. (See other toasting options in post.)
  8. Once the bottom is browned and toasty, flip and repeat.
  9. Broil for a couple minutes at the end.
  10. Slice in half and serve.
