Cuban Sandwich

- 1 fresh loaf of Ciabatta bread, ends removed, cut in half vertically and horizontally
- mustard
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 8 oz smoked ham
- deli pickle rounds
- butter
- Preheat oven to broil.
- Tear some of the bread out of the inside of your Ciabatta.
- On one side spread mustard and top with pickles.
- On the other side add your cheese then top with ham.
- Put one half on the oven.
- Heat a cast iron skillet and melt a little butter.
- Add your sandwich, one at a time. Press down hard on the top to press with a pot lid. (See other toasting options in post.)
- Once the bottom is browned and toasty, flip and repeat.
- Broil for a couple minutes at the end.
- Slice in half and serve.
