Red Wine Apple Cider Sangria

- 10 cups good quality apple cider
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tsp whole cloves
- 14 cinnamon sticks (extra to garnish)
- 2 tsp ground allspice
- 2 oranges, sliced into rounds
- 1 large apple, sliced into long strips
- 5 bottles Cabernet or red blend
- 3 cups Brandy
- 2 cups orange juice
- Add apple cider, cloves, 10 cinnamon sticks, allspice and rounds from one orange to a pot and bring to boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer 5-6 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool thoroughly.
- Mix with wine, brandy, orange juice, additional cinnamon sticks, orange rounds and apple slices.
- Allow to sit overnight.
- Pour into drink dispensers, punch bowl or pitches to serve.
- Garnish with additional cinnamon and apple slices.
