Ingredients
  • 5 lb chicken wings (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. fresh ground pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp. ginger, peeled and chopped
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
Instructions
  1. Combine wings, olive oil, salt and pepper in a large bowl tossing to coat.
  2. Heat grill to medium heat and brush grates with oil.
  3. Grill wings turning occasionally and moving to lower heat if the skin is cooking too quickly.
  4. Cook through and until skin is crisp and charred (30-35 minutes).
  5. While wings are grilling prepare sauce. In a small saucepan add water, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and honey.
  6. Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve honey.
  7. Reduce to simmer for 5-8 minutes or until sauce thickens.
  8. Strain through a sieve into a small bowl to remove solids. Set aside and let cool.
  9. Remove wings from grill to a large plate.
  10. Toss with sauce and serve OR brush with sauce and return to grill for another 8-10 minutes to allow glaze to caramelize to the wings.
