Red, White & BOOM

Published: Jul 3, 2018 by Laura Lee · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Happy almost 4th of July!!! If you're from Ohio/live around the Midwest I'm sure you've heard of Red, White & BOOM. I grew up going to this massive downtown Columbus fireworks display as my dad always worked downtown and we'd watch from around his office. In high school I graduated to taking the COTA bus from Westerville with a big group of friends and Gatorade bottles full of vodka or tequila (earmuffs mom and dad) and in college I had the opportunity to throw a party on the roof of a hotel I lived in during my internship. Since then I've always lived downtown or had friends living downtown whose houses we could watch from providing I was in Ohio for the weekend. The firework display never disappoints but most people come for the pre and post party. And this cocktail is fitting for the occasion. It's red, white and blue and the BOOM element comes from the plethora of alcohol inside. Enjoy, be safe (as my dad always says) and have a fabulous 4th of July my friends!
