Best of Both Worlds

Published: Jun 7, 2019 by Laura Lee · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

TGIF!! I could not be more ready for this weekend! My husband and I traveled to New Orleans last weekend for the first time and packed as much as we could into three days. Stay tuned for posts on all the great food and drinks we had! Needless to say I'm very excited for a weekend at home to relax and catch up on things.

I posted a step by step insta story making this cocktail over MDW on my back patio (now on my highlights) which I call the Best of Both Worlds, because it combines bourbon and sparkling rosé - two of my favorite things. I rarely see cocktail menus that have a combination of whiskey and champagne in one drink, because most people prefer one or the other. However, if you're like me and enjoy the kick of the bourbon with the refreshing fizz of the champs then look no further! For this drink I used Bullet bourbon, St Germain, fresh lemon juice, strawberries and sparkling rosé.

Add bourbon, St. Germain, lemon and strawberries to a shaker. Muddle well. Add ice and shake for 60 seconds. Strain into a stemless wine glass (or whatever you prefer) with fresh ice. Top with rosé.

Garnish with an edible flower and enjoy! Cheers!
