Blueberry Gimlet

Published: Jun 10, 2017 by Laura Lee · This post may contain affiliate links · 3 Comments

Happy Saturday! This week was CRAZY busy, and I'm so excited to unwind with this tasty cocktail tonight.

The Blueberry Gimlet contains gin, lime juice, simple syrup and obviously blueberries! The gimlet is a classic cocktail that dates back to the 20s. It was originally made simply with gin and lime juice. This variation adds a slightly sweet, fruity hit to the ordinary tart cocktail.

You can serve this drink up or down on the rocks. Dealers choice. 😉 To make it add all ingredients to a shaker. Muddle the blueberries slightly (they will also fall apart more when you shake). Add ice, shake for 20-30 seconds and strain into either glass.

**To make simple syrup bring about ¼ cup water to boil in a small saucepan. Add ½ cup sugar and stir until dissolved. Turn down heat and allow to simmer for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool before using. You can store whatever is leftover in the fridge in an airtight container.**

Tonight we're also cheers'ing to the fact that we set a date and booked our venues for our wedding! November 3rd, 2018! We're so excited! Hope you all have a great weekend! xx
