Extra Spicy Margarita

Published: Feb 23, 2019 by Laura Lee · This post may contain affiliate links · 1 Comment

Talk spicy to me. It's National Margarita Day! I don't discriminate against types of margs but this extra spicy one probably takes the cake. Or the tequila. Or something. You know what I'm saying (maybe). We had some (many) of these at my best friend's rehearsal dinner in Arizona and it led to the best night ever so maybe it will for you too. My version has Serrano pepper-infused agave, muddled jalapeños, lime juice, tequila and triple sec.

**Bring agave and a little cold water to a slight simmer. Add Serrano peppers and reduce to simmer for about 5 minutes. Cool completely before using.**

Add all ingredients to a shaker. Muddle jalapeños. Add ice and shake well. Strain into a glass (preferably one with cacti like these guys) and enjoy! I'd recommend using a double strainer to catch all the seeds.
