Cran Basil Fizz

Published: Jan 7, 2020 by Laura Lee · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Happy New Year! I hope everyone's year is off to a great start. I am pumped that for the first Monday back in office we are at least rewarded with the new season of The Bachelor starting tonight! For those of you not participating in Dry January (aka most of my friends ha), I have the perfect cocktail for you to sip on as you watch Peter search for love. Or for whatever activity you're partaking in if you're not part of #bachelornation.

You will need: gin, basil, cranberry-infused simple syrup, lemon juice and Prosecco.

*To make cranberry-infused simple syrup bring water to boil in a small saucepan. Add sugar and stir until dissolves. Add cranberries and slightly simmer for about 5 minutes. Crush cranberries into syrup with a muddler or back of spoon.*

Add gin, simple syrup, lemon juice and basil to a shaker. Muddle basil into the mixture. Add ice, shake for 30 seconds and strain into a champagne flute. Top with Prosecco. Cheers!
