Candied Bacon

Published: Jul 5, 2016 by Laura Lee · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Who doesn't love bacon? I could eat it with every meal so clearly I'm on-board with bacon as a dessert. Those of you with a sweet tooth will love this recipe!

This Candied Bacon could not be easier to make! Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Simply add your raw bacon to a large bowl and sprinkle with a little maple syrup, fresh ground pepper, and brown sugar, tossing to coat. Next spread out on a baking sheet on top of a sheet of parchment paper in one layer. Cover with another sheet of parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes. Check and if you'd like it a little more crispy, bake for another 5-10 minutes. Remove from oven and transfer to a plate to cool. ***Do not place on paper towels to drain as you usually would with bacon because the candied coating will make it stick.*** Enjoy!!!
